This Japanese restaurant is located at ifc shopping mall in Hong Kong.
As a Japanese restaurant oversea, we try to create an image of sophisticated that the shopping mall has while creating a feeling of modern Japanese design that express whiteness and woody. Basically, the design avoids decoratively to let visitors freely come inside.
With sensitive louvers, we keep some privacy for customers while creating high-end feeling. Above the counter table located at the center, we have designed a huge kitchen hood that can be an accent of the simple space.
As for the materiality, we combined the different types of materiality such as, terrazzo tiles, galvanized steel and hinoki cypress, to create unique and new type of Japanese design which fits to the shopping mall.
